Business Writing

English 397, Business Writing, concentrates on writing in the professional domain. This course will develop skills and knowledge when both preparing to enter the workplace as well as what we will need during our careers. Projects include job application packaging, branding and pitching. We will also continue to develop our witing skills by blogging and writing articles for the website www.montrealites.ca  

Job Application Project

This project consisted of creating a tailored resume for our future careers, a cover letter and a memo. We also created a visual resume.

Branding Project

In this project, we each took a section of our Montrealites website and became managing editors. We wrote introductions to our sections,  mission statements, created a logo and promoted our site with a meme.

My section was Montreal Living which includes fitness and health, news, activities, volunteering and recreation. I created a landing page introducing my section, created a logo for the website and made a viral video. Visit my branding project or my section on Montreal Living.

Pitching Project

This project will focus on the developmnt of my section of the Montrealites website. I hope to created a clearly-defined theme and direction for the Living section that is both easy to navigate and detailed in terms of content.

Fitness Blog

This term I kept another blog in order to practice my writing skills. Since joining Training Mobs, I have become both interested and able to try as many fitness classes as I want. I have dedicated this blog to my experiences with the different classes.
